keyTec VSX+ with added security
Winkhaus presents a new mechanical locking system from the VSX series / Robust all-rounder with expanded security features.
Winkhaus, manufacturer of high-quality system solutions for windows and doors as well as smart access control, has added a new mechanical locking system to its VSX series for securing house, apartment and shop doors. keyTec VSX+ has additional security features and thus provides even better protection against unauthorised key copies and tampering.
Proven system now even more secure
“Thanks to the sophisticated modular system and the wide variety of cylinder types, our keyTec VSX system has quickly established itself as an all-rounder in security professionals' everyday business,” says Matthias Wall, Product Manager in the mechanical locking systems product area at Winkhaus. “Our refined keyTec VSX+ now makes it suitable for use in properties with exceptionally high security requirements.”
With six active pin tumblers and up to ten lateral check pins the VSX systems comply with lock security class 6 as per EN 1303. Both variants have drilling and picking protection as standard. The new keyTec VSX+ locking system also features a partial undercut on the key and in the core profile. Another new feature is the Active Undercut Detection (AUD) option, a technical key copying protection system designed by Winkhaus (patent pending)
. The system is SKG certified. VdS approval is also currently underway.
One key for everything
Whether as an individually-secured cylinder in private homes or as a locking system in residential buildings or large (public) buildings – keyTec VSX and VSX+ reliably manage different locking authorisations. An extended shoulder of the key also enables the technology to be combined with modern pulling protection fittings, so that the systems can be used in practically any door in compliance with standards. A wide portfolio of special cylinders also contributes to this. The ergonomic key design with the established Winkhaus grip recess sits comfortably in the hand and is also visually appealing.
